Jared Cornutt is a husband, father, son, brother, pastor, teacher, student, and much more. He tries to live his life that can be defined simply as: Love God, Love People – Serve God, Serve People.
Jared graduated from the University of Alabama in 2013 where he double majored in Political Science and History. After that he moved to Wake Forest, NC where graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in December of 2015 with his Master of Divinity. He is currently a student at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO pursuing a PhD in Historical Theology and will also earn a ThM in the process.
Jared serves as the Pastor to Students and College at the First Baptist Church of Alabaster. Jared has been working in and around Student Ministry since 2011. He has spoken at D-Now’s, Student Events, and Camps during this time. Jared’s heart is for parents to know and live out that they are the primary disciplers of their children. Jared is also the lead host of The Potluck Podcast, a podcast centered around Southern Baptist life and southern culture. Jared is also a contributor for topchristianbooks.com
Jared married Kandace in June of 2014. They have one son, Andrew Fuller Cornutt, whom they adopted from India in July of 2018. They enjoy the company (most of the time) of their two dogs: Bear and Tiger. Jared loves to read, golf, spend time with Kandace, disc golf, and watch Alabama football.
